PRAISE & PRAYER UPDATE

EURCP (EU Review & Call to Prayer) - from Hugh & Norma Davis – September, 2007

“Continue in prayer & watch in the same – with thanksgiving” Col. 4:2

Dear Family & Friends,

Thank you again for your prayers, fellowship and financial support. We need them all!

PERSONAL & US LIFE & MINISTRY:

Many of you have asked - no, we haven’t sold the condo yet. We will send a special Praise & Prayer bulletin, with address & phone (cell phones will stay the same - at least at first), when we know date of our move to Springfield, MO, where new opportunities await us.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

-  Sale of our Condo in Frederick, MD in time to match when the missionary daughter, Laura, and family have full support and residence visas in place to leave for missionary ministry in Europe. We will then move into the house they have been renting in Springfield, Missouri.

- Clear direction in the research and other ministry. We already have opportunities to work with the Assemblies of God Missions Department and related ministries in Springfield. We also need to find the local church we should be involved in. Equally important will be areas where we can serve the whole body of Christ.

THE EUROPEAN UNION OF PRAYER MINISTRY:

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

Ortwin Schweitzer, Chairman, and the prayer leaders and intercessors will be meeting in Lisbon, PORTUGAL September 10-12 – praying for the EU & the Portuguese EU President ((June – December, 2007) They will seek to be led by the Spirit; but do expect to deal with the following items:

- Effectiveness of all of the many prayer movements in the nations of Europe

- The European Union, the Portuguese EU President (June – December, 2007), and the work on the new reform treaty.

- Enlargement policies of the EU - and how Turkey will fit in to the future of Europe

- Mideast policies of the EU; support for Israel; Hamas and Palestinian rights issues

- Moslem plan for Islamization (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=40504 ), as well as attempts by Neo-Nazis (especially in Germany & the Netherlands) to influence these decisions to there advantage.

- Immigration policies of the EU and ministry to refugees

- Effective EU policies on terrorism with both military and security processes

- Preparation for the next meeting in Slovenia in the spring.

- Pray for the remaining support to come in for our ministry trip to join the EU OF PRAYER in SLOVENIA in March, 2008.

SPECIAL: HARDLINE TAKEOVER OF BRITISH MOSQUES:

From The Times, September 7, 2007 - Andrew Norfolk

Almost half of Britain’s mosques are under the control of a hard-line Islamic sect whose leading preacher loathes Western values and has called on Muslims to “shed blood” for Allah, an investigation by The Times of London has found.

Riyadh ul Haq, who supports armed jihad and preaches contempt for Jews, Christians and Hindus, is in line to become the spiritual leader of the Deobandi sect in Britain. The ultra-conservative movement, which gave birth to the Taleban in Afghanistan, now runs more than 600 of Britain’s 1,350 mosques, according to a police report seen by The Times.

WHETHER WE ARE SERVING THE LORD IN EUROPE OR THE US; WE ALWAYS NEED & APPRECIATE YOUR PRAYERS!       Thank you for your faithfulness through the years.

May the Lord bless you in your place in His Kingdom plan, for His glory!

In His love & fellowship,                               Hugh & Norma Davis

We conduct this inter-denominational ministry through the prayer and support of our faithful friends and contributors and under the mission program of the Assemblies of God, Western Europe office, outside of Brussels, Belgium.
