“Continue in prayer
& watch in the same – with thanksgiving” Col.
4:2
Dear Friends,
Some of you still ask if we’ve moved
yet. YES, we moved to Springfield, MO on January 26 (our new address is in the heading,
and also at the end of this Update. We are very happy with the way the Lord
continues to lead, get us in touch with people we need to meet and with the
church He has led us to be a part of.
One not so
good thing (except as God makes “all
things” work for the good of those who are following His call) is that
the condo buyer backed out, leaving us with condo payments, along with
our (thank the Lord) reasonable rent here in Springfield.
PRAY
again, please, that
the Lord will send the right buyer, for the right price, in His
time.
We leave February 27th to
drive to Washington, DC area (stay overnight with son,
Kemper, and family) & catch our Saturday, March 1st flight to
Europe.
First,
from 3 to 8 March, we
join with the European Union of Prayer, in
SLOVENIA,
the nation holding EU presidency until July 1. During these days,
representatives from the 27 EU member nations will join together in
intercessory prayer for the European Union and the Europeans. As Christians
we will pray to help create a more perfect society for the good of all, and that
God’s purposes, and not those of the enemy, will be fulfilled during this time.
PRAY for a productive time of worship, prayer &
building relationships.
Then, we will be in
ITALY
from March 9-13, meeting with
prayer and church leaders, seeing daughter, Laura, Warren
& family and observing
several of our birthdays with the children and grandchildren who are missionaries
to internationals in Padua.
As many of you know; we are
driving to the DC area from Springfield, since our tickets originate there. We will
also see family and friends – maybe you, too - when we return.
-
Palm Sunday, Mar 16, New Covenant, Hampton, is giving
us a reception after service
-
Tues – Wed, March
18-19 – we visit my sister in PA; (Pray

-

HELPS
FOR A DAILY WALK WITH GOD

Our purpose in these short studies
is not just to give information or define kinds of prayer; but to give
practical,
usable suggestions for expressing
our love to God in our daily
walk
with Him.

THINGS GOD IS /OR DOES: HIS ATTRIBUTES
He
is Lord, the
ALMIGHTY
– able
to help us
He is our CREATOR – made us
so willing to fix us
He is our FATHER; He
accepts us as His children
He is our SHEPHERD; He makes
Himself responsible for our care, protection & provision; knows us
and calls us each by name
He is good – righteous
in all He is and does – we can fully trust Him with our lives and all we
are.
He is loving; His
lovingkindness endures forever; His love is unconditional, because
HE IS LOVE
He is and will be FAITHFUL
through all generations – and through eternity
Prayer should be
a “sandwich” – Begun with praise & worship, with requests intercessions, etc., in between
and thanksgiving at the end.
May we walk with our God in simple
trust and faith, listening for His voice, and keeping up our part of the
relationship – so He can lead and bless and use us, for His
purposes.
In His
wonderful fellowship & love,
Hugh & Norma
